The Wrong Heritage

Yes, the Heritage Foundation actually declared the following to be true:

[For most Americans, the word “poverty” suggests destitution: an inability to provide a family with nutritious food, clothing, and reasonable shelter. However, only a small number of the 35 million persons classified as “poor” by the Census Bureau fit that description. Today, the typical American defined as poor by the government not only has a refrigerator, a stove, and a clothes washer, but also has a car, home air conditioning, a microwave, and a color television.]

Did they call everyone up in America and ask them if they have a clothes washer and a car?

If they did, they neglected the segment of the population who don't have a phone. Or a microwave. Or a FREAKING HOME!!!

Could not read that (the link stuff) "marriage is the rememdy to poverty", huh? AARGH!!! Husband grabs wife throws wife on floor, sits on her, punching, choking, she fights the 6' 200 LB bully (5.2", 102 LB) the best she can. You see, she suggested that he shouldn't be using the rent money for heroin~~~Let's not pay women liveable wages, let's keep them slaves to men that lie, cheat, steal, beat and molest step=daughters and step-sons. At least the ladies will be married. AARGH!

Why don't they do survey's about working single mothers? The kind that send their daughters to college, and do without so their children can have some semblance of a nonpovety existance?
