God Said "Go The Other Way!"

I hitchhiked all the way to Hood River, Oregon and no further.

Because, after seven hours, it became obvious that nobody was going to pick me up.

I took it as a sign from God.

So, I walked over to the Westbound ramp, sat down on the guard rail and stuck my thumb out again.

Ten minutes later, a man pulled over and took me to The Dalles. He got me a room at the motel 6 where I slept like a baby!

The next day, I headed back to Ontario where I hung around the truck stop all night.

The next morning, I checked into a local motel.

And then my friend Renee called.

She always knows when I am in town.

And she said, "Ruthie, I have a proposition for you..."
