Screw Google! 10 Years Ago


You may have noticed that I have a "Screw Google!" graphic that bounces around my blog from time-to-time. There is a reason for that. And I've already explained it here.

It's more of a joke now. After the fact. I use it now to showcase things that Google is working on. But I also keep it on the blog as a reminder of what Google is supposed to be: a way of sharing information with the world.

Ten-years ago, Google's logo looked like the picture above. [Minus the graffiti that I put on it.] And if you click on the link in the post headline above, you will see what Google looked like and offered, back in the stone age, now fondly referred to as 1998.
