The Good Life In Grinnell

I spent this morning taking photographs of Grinnell, Iowa.

-MAIN STREET AT DAWN-
-DOWNTOWN, STILL ASLEEP AT 6:30A.M.-
-A GREAT PLACE TO EAT BREAKFAST:
THE FRONTIER CAFE
-A MAN WATERS 97 OF THESE BLOSSOM
BASKETS IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA-
-A GOLDEN SYMBOL FROM GRINNELL'S PAST
GREETS VISITORS TO THE "JEWEL BOX"
AKA THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE-
-INTRICATELY CARVED TERRACOTTA SPANS
BETWEEN THE GREENERY-
-FIFTEEN-FOOT HIGH, STAINED-GLASS WINDOWS,
DRAW IN RAINBOW-TINTED SUNBEAMS-

-LIGHTS ADORN THE UNIQUE DESIGN OF THE CEILING'S
SKYLIGHT-
-THE JEWEL BOX IS NOW OWNED AND
MAINTAINED BY WELLS FARGO BANK,
WHICH ALSO HAS A BANK BRANCH ON THE
OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING-

Grinnell has a community to be proud of. It represents the Spirit of Iowa...which Algona, Iowa never will.
